Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-26 · Effective for users of iHateMissingCalls.
1. Who we are
Downtown Tactical LLC (“iHateMissingCalls,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the iHateMissingCalls platform — a multi-tenant software service that provides AI virtual receptionists for trades businesses. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use our service.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
- Account information: name, email, business name, phone number.
- Billing information: payment method (processed by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers).
- Configuration data: triage tree settings, business hours, services offered, technician contact information.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, errors encountered.
- Device information: browser type, operating system, IP address.
2.3 Information from your callers
When a caller (a third party — your customer) calls a phone number you have configured with iHateMissingCalls, we collect: caller phone number, call recording (where consent is given), call transcript, structured intake data (name, address, problem description), and call duration. This data is processed on your behalf as a Service Provider under applicable privacy laws.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the iHateMissingCalls service.
- To process payments and send transactional communications.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. How we share information
- Service providers: Vapi (voice infrastructure), Anthropic (AI processing), Twilio (telephony), Stripe (billing), Resend (email), Supabase (database). Each is bound by data-processing terms restricting their use of data to providing services to us.
- Legal requirements: when required by law, subpoena, or court order.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Mobile phone numbers and SMS-related data are used only to deliver the SMS Program described in our Terms of Service §15, on behalf of the subscribing business the consumer called.
4.1 SMS communications
When a consumer calls a business that subscribes to iHateMissingCalls, our AI receptionist may send SMS follow-up to the caller’s mobile number — for example to confirm the call was received, share a callback timeline, or follow up on a service request. These messages are sent from the business phone number the consumer reached, on behalf of the subscribing business. Message frequency varies by interaction; a typical inquiry results in roughly one to four messages within twenty-four hours of the call. Message and data rates may apply. The full SMS Messaging Program terms (including how consumers opt in, opt-out via STOP, and help via HELP) are described in our Terms of Service §15.
5. Data retention
Account data is retained while your account is active and for 90 days after termination. Call recordings are retained for the period configured in your account settings (default 90 days; up to 365 days). Consent records and audit logs are retained for 7 years to support compliance obligations.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. California CCPA/CPRA, EU GDPR), you may have the right to: access your personal information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, object to certain processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@ihatemissingcalls.com.
7. Children
The iHateMissingCalls service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
9. International transfers
Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
